My machine is triple booting into Gentoo 32-bit for some stuff, Windows XP for some programming, work and games, and Gentoo 64-bit. I spend the most time in Gentoo 64-bit. For this machine I always keep up to date, even running beta software via the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" directive.

Here's a screenshot of my desktop:

Project News

04/03/2004 Apparently Utah power companies don't know how to handle a little wind on their lines. We have far more severe weather back home without losing power. Anyhow, the loss of power corrupted my disk. Be careful what you use ReiserFS for. It's high performance, but it lacks some error detection. reiserfsck doesn't catch everything. I have to rebuild my gentoo, half of my /usr/lib directory is corrupt :(.
04/01/2004 I installed the new Gnome 2.6 today. I'm not too impressed with it. I've always been able to pinpoint at least 1 useful thing in their new releases. This one just added some annoyances!!
03/27/2004 Uploaded a new screenshot - my machine was down for about a week - never EVER go backward with Glibc in linux - it will mess up everything right down to ls.
